Friday 5!

Happy Friday everyone!!!!!!!

I go back to school on Monday (not officially -just to organize things) so this sort of almost feels like the Friday Feel here. I have so much to do but in the 5 hours or so I've been in there already I have been quite productive: photos to come!
My latest at-home project!

Anyhow, here are my Friday 5:

1. I've had two of these this week. After a humid run I just want to quench my thirst ALL day!

2. Mountain View Runners came out to train with the BLT Runners! Ian had us do 800m repeats and for a summer lacking rain it sure was a soggy run!

Trying to make it look fun lol.

Stan was so lovely to send photos! He came out to cheer in the rain even though he wasn't running!!!

Coach Ian taking everyone through warm up drills.

3. Stacey and I went for my first trail run!!!! Sure I did it after I spent 4 hours moving big furniture around at school, lol but it was SO  fun! I couldn't believe what a great workout it was also!

It was so hot so we were more than happy to stop for a photo shoot. ;)

I definitely appreciated the features of the Mizuno Hayate trail shoes as we ran over rocks, tree roots, etc. They had great traction! Full review to come!!!

Too bad they aren't as clean now LOL!

4. I received my 10 year milestone award from the Halifax Regional School Board! I taught for two years in Newfoundland before moving here and knowing that I've been into my teaching career for twelve years makes me feel old, but proud. :)

5. I made more of the Skinnytaste Crock pot Chicken Taco Chili and it is so delish!

Anyhow, I hope you have an awesome weekend! I'm hoping to get in a long run with Marg and Stacey on Sunday. This week is a drop-down mileage week and I'm NOT complaining. ;)

Anything exciting going on this weekend in running?
You need to try that chicken chili recipe!!!!!!

Thanks again for stopping by Girl Goes Running! I appreciate all your visits and comments!!!

Happy running,
Heather :)
